A new standard The OS 5000 is extremely easy to use. Simply drop in a single-track audio CD and walk away. It just that easy! High-quality sound and plenty of room to store it The OS 5000 series feature 8 minutes of digital flash memory that can be upgraded to 16, 24 or 32 minutes by adding additional memory modules. The unit utilizes new ISD Chipcorder technology that provides outstanding sound quality that is indistinguishable from CD audio over the telephone. Innovative CD autoload system When a new single-track audio CD is inserted into the OS 5000, the unit spins automatically records the track into memory without further user interface. After the recording/downloading process is completed, the unit automatically switches to play mode and begins continuous playback from internal flash memory.

The OS 5000 series takes audio from single-track CDs giving it a number of significant advantages over both flash card and tape download digital announcers.

Advantages over Flash Card systems:

• CDs are inexpensive to distribute (under a 50 cents) as compared to flash cards ($15 or more)
• CDs are easy to create, utilizing off-the-shelf software and an ordinary CD recorder
• CDs are easy and inexpensive to mass duplicate (can be duplicated at up to 52x speed)

Advantages over Tape Download systems:

• CDs provide higher quality source audio
• Takes advantage of a CDs ability to access audio files directly without the need to rewind or fast forward to find specific message content

Just snap in a CD, close the lid, and the OS 5000 is ready to go!	Expandable recording capacity -- just remove the memory panel door and plug in additional memory modules for up to 32 minutes of recording capacity.
Unit can accommodate up to four 8-minute flash memory modules (one 8-min. memory module is preinstalled).	Full shot with the lid open reveals, CD drive mechanism, memory access (door removed) as well as impedance and speaker switches.
